Job Title: Assistant Project Manager

Job Summary: Assistant Project Manager for Northbrook, IL location. Provide support for the administration and completion of project management responsibilities on assigned construction projects. Assist with project management of construction projects with overall direction, estimating, cost control, budget administration for commercial, higher education, performing arts and institutional projects valued in excess of $1M-20M. Implement Health and Safety Program on projects, and assist PM with preparation of job and task hazard analysis. Assist with Pull Planning session and review and address systemic problems with project team. Assign and develop Change Events, and prepare Change Orders. Assist PM with the set up and update of budget and related logs. Coordinate material procurement. Review all contracts and insurance riders and insurance reports. Assist with the review of subcontractor payments. Plans, organizes, coordinates and controls project(s) in accordance with establishes policies and standards including LEED and OSHA. Work on various project delivery system models, including Design-Build and Design-Bid-Build. Supervises work of project administration and engineers. Technology: Procore, MS Project, Primavera, Asta, AutoCAD, BIM with Revit and Navisworks, Lean Construction, Last Planner.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management plus three years of experience in the job offered or in construction management required. Required Skills: 3 years with each: construction estimating, cost control & budget administration; MS project/Primavera/Asta. Experience must include: projects of $20M; commercial, higher education, performing arts and institutional projects; design-build & design-bid-build; Procore. Education or experience must include: BIM using Revit and Navisworks; lean construction-pull planning and last planner.
